Intern (IT Application Development)

HPS is looking for a bright and motivated individual to join our Application Development team for the summer of 2026. This role will involve working directly with our internal technology team in the support and enhancement of both in-house and vendor built systems.
Candidates can expect to be exposed to the software development and management processes used by the HPS team as well as the various business processes we support. These processes cover everything from back and middle office operations to portfolio management and investor relations. This also involves working with several third-party vendor systems and the teams that support them.
Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
- Working with users to develop requirements for the technology solutions they need
- Working with the technology team to develop implementation plans for those solutions
- Writing code, designing data models, and building necessary integrations to execute those implementations
- Deploying solutions to users and providing support once they are live
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated track record of academic and professional achievement
- Significant course work completed towards a Computer Science or equivalent degree, and/or other significant experience with software development
- Experience with C#, .Net, and MS SQL preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highest degree of business ethics and professionalism
- Strong desire to learn and contribute in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited college/university
