Position Summary:
At Pareto, we are committed to empowering businesses with effective cost-containment strategies while enabling long-term value creation. The Cost Containment Intern will support the ParetoHealth Cost Containment team by analyzing data, enhancing financial efficiencies, and contributing to projects that help clients optimize their healthcare costs. This role is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, analytical individual to develop key skills in data analysis, project management, and financial risk management while gaining exposure to the healthcare benefits industry.

Competencies desired:
- Data Analysis Skills: Ability to work with large datasets, identify trends, and deliver actionable insights.
- Analytical Mindset: A strategic thinker with the ability to solve complex problems and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Excel Proficiency: Strong skills in Excel for data cleaning, reporting, and modeling.
- Project Management: Organized and capable of managing timelines and deliverables effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support cost-containment initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for savings within client data.
- Create detailed Excel reports and models to track progress and performance metrics.
- Assist in project management activities, ensuring tasks are completed on time and align with team goals.
- Conduct research and provide insights into risk management and financial strategies to support client outcomes.
About you:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field (Risk Management and Insurance (RMI) is ideal.
- Ability to work in our Philadelphia, PA office beginning in June through August.
- Must be a Junior, or Senior attending an accredited College or University.
