The Inspector Intern is responsible for conducting building inspections for residential, commercial and industrial properties.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring daily compliance and resolving daily construction related issues.
- Ensure quality in all inspections in an efficient manner.
- Verify that materials, equipment, and procedures are as specific for the project, as well as testing of procedure qualification test results.
- Must have an understanding of specifications and plans required for given projects.
- Communicate with clients, contractors, other inspectors and supervisors regarding specifications and plans required for given projects.
- Review shop drawings and quality of construction work per the contract specifications and plans.
- Evaluation and troubleshooting of existing construction.
- Travel to work sites.
- Prepare written reports in accordance with qualification tests.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering or similar discipline.
- 0-2 years’ experience in construction, engineering and/or architecture in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
- Valid driver's license.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Independent and critical thinking.
- The ability to work logically and systematically, with good time.
- Basic IT literacy and the ability to manage and communicate electronic.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills, plus the ability to speak.
- Self-starter who can work independently and with team members.
