Full Stack Software Engineer Intern [Summer 2026]

SubImage is a Y Combinator-backed cloud security startup building an open core alternative to Wiz. We are hiring a Full Stack Software Engineer Intern for Summer 2026 to work directly with our founders on cloud security tools. As a Full Stack SWE Intern at SubImage, you'll work on the full stack of our cloud security platform: building the web UI, designing backend services, and contributing to the security research that powers our detection capabilities. The role involves working with technologies like TypeScript, React, Node.js, and cloud APIs (AWS, GCP, Azure) to build features that help security teams detect and respond to misconfigurations and threats across their cloud infrastructure. You'll gain exposure to the unique problems of cloud security, applied research on real-world attack patterns, and product engineering at a venture-backed startup. The position is fully in-person in downtown San Francisco. Required: pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical field; strong programming fundamentals with TypeScript or similar; interest in cloud computing and security; experience shipping end-to-end product features through internships, side projects, or open-source contributions.
