Software Engineer Intern (Summer 2026)

Whatnot is the largest livestream shopping platform in North America and Europe. We are seeking Software Engineer Interns for Summer 2026 to contribute to the products and infrastructure that power live commerce for millions of buyers and sellers. As a Software Engineering Intern at Whatnot, you will work alongside experienced engineers on real production systems including livestream video, payments, search, recommendations, mobile applications, or backend services. You'll have the opportunity to ship features end-to-end, contribute to architectural decisions, and learn how to build scalable systems that handle millions of concurrent users. The role provides exposure to mobile-first product development, real-time systems, and modern e-commerce infrastructure. Whatnot has grown rapidly, building one of the largest collector communities online. Required: pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field; strong programming fundamentals; experience with at least one of TypeScript, Swift, Kotlin, or Python; passion for consumer products and live commerce; collaborative mindset.
