Software Engineering Intern (Summer 2026)

Athelas, also known as Commure, is a healthcare technology company building products spanning clinical documentation, workflow tools, and billing infrastructure used by hospitals and clinics nationwide. We are hiring Software Engineering Interns for Summer 2026 in San Francisco or Mountain View. Interns will contribute to the design, development, testing, and shipping of product features across web, mobile, or backend services while receiving mentorship from experienced engineers. Required skills include solid CS fundamentals and proficiency in TypeScript/Node, Python, or Go. Preferred qualifications include prior internship experience, familiarity with React or mobile frameworks, cloud technologies (AWS/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes), and healthcare domain knowledge. The role emphasizes shipping production-quality software with high standards for code quality, reliability, security, and performance. The internship requires five days per week on-site at the Mountain View office. Required: pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical field by June 2027; must be a senior or above. Compensation: $5,000-$7,000 monthly. US citizenship or valid work visa required.
