Summer 2026 Internship - Electrical and Pulsed Power Engineering

Xcimer Energy is offering a Summer 2026 Internship in Electrical and Pulsed Power Engineering. Xcimer Energy is developing commercial inertial fusion energy power plants to address global decarbonization. As an Electrical and Pulsed Power Engineering intern, you will work alongside our engineering team to design and test high-voltage systems, pulsed power circuits, and electrical infrastructure critical to fusion energy generation. Responsibilities include circuit design and simulation, hardware prototyping, testing pulsed power components, and supporting experimental campaigns on our fusion test systems. Xcimer is at the forefront of one of the most ambitious clean energy projects in history, backed by leading climate-tech investors. The team brings together physicists, engineers, and innovators from premier research institutions including national labs and top universities. Required qualifications: pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Plasma Physics, Applied Physics, or a related field; coursework in power electronics, electromagnetics, or pulsed power systems; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; interest in clean energy.
