Software Engineer Intern - Summer 2026

Belvedere Trading is a leading proprietary trading firm based in Chicago, specializing in commodities and equities options market making. We are seeking Software Engineer Interns for Summer 2026 to work directly with full-time engineers in developing low-latency, high-performance proprietary trading systems. Interns participate in the design, implementation, and testing of critical infrastructure that supports our trading operations across multiple asset classes. The internship provides hands-on experience with C++ programming, distributed systems, real-time data processing, and trading technology used by professional market makers. The program includes structured mentorship, technical training, networking with traders and quants, and project presentations. Required qualifications: pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; strong programming skills (C++, Python, or Java); knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and operating systems; interest in financial markets and trading technology.
