Software Engineer Intern (Summer 2026)

StarSling is a Y Combinator-backed startup building AI-native DevOps platforms, specifically fast GitHub Actions runners with self-driving CI that optimizes build speeds by over 80%. We are hiring a Software Engineer Intern for an 8-week summer position (June 19 - August 21, 2026) in San Mateo, CA. Interns will own a single project end-to-end for customers, with potential focuses including agent harness improvement, headless product experiences (API, CLI, Markdown), or event-driven dashboard design for real-time engineering portals. Required qualifications include autonomy and at least one public GitHub project demonstrating end-to-end product development. The role requires 6-day work weeks, in-person presence in the Bay Area, and comfort with rapid iteration. Experience with AI code generation tools like Claude Code or Cursor is expected. Interns work directly with co-founder Daniel Worku (former Netflix Engineering Manager) and CEO Yonas Beshawred (StackShare founder). Compensation: $5K-$10K monthly.
