Mechanical Engineering Internship - Summer 2026

Varda Space Industries is seeking mechanical engineering interns for Summer 2026 at its El Segundo, California headquarters. Varda operates in-space manufacturing factories that leverage the unique conditions of microgravity to produce materials with applications in pharmaceuticals, fiber optics, and semiconductors. As a mechanical engineering intern, you will contribute to the design, analysis, and testing of spacecraft structures and mechanisms that support Varda's re-entry capsule and orbital factory programs. You will gain hands-on experience with flight hardware and work alongside a team of experienced aerospace engineers. Candidates should be pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
