The Niskanen Center is hiring Fall 2026 interns for its Washington, DC office. As a Niskanen intern, you will gain hands-on experience in public policy research, communications, and federal affairs at a center-right think tank working on climate, immigration, governance, social policy, and democracy. The center seeks interns who share its vision and are eager to contribute to meaningful policy work. Ideal candidates are visionary thinkers who embrace principles of liberal democracy, are ideologically open to diverse perspectives, and are enthusiastic about cross-ideological collaboration. The Fall Semester 2026 internship runs from September 8, 2026 to December 4, 2026, with applications due by July 12, 2026. The organization will notify applicants on a rolling basis with a final deadline of August 7, 2026 for all offers.
