Software Engineering Internship (Backoffice Team) - Summer 2026

Gelber Group is seeking highly motivated individuals to participate in its Summer 2026 internship program at its Chicago, IL headquarters. As a Software Engineering Intern on the Backoffice Team, you will plan and execute a research/engineering project relevant to Gelber's proprietary trading strategies. You'll work alongside experienced traders, quants, and engineers in a 10-week comprehensive program running June through August 2026. Responsibilities include developing internal tools and infrastructure supporting Gelber's trading operations, working with large data sets, and contributing production code to systems used by traders. Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, with strong programming skills in Python, C++, or similar languages, and an interest in financial markets. Approximate hourly rate: $50/hr. Onsite in Chicago.
