Anthropic Fellows Program

Anthropic seeks promising technical talent for a 4-month full-time fellowship focused on AI research and engineering. The program provides funding, mentorship from Anthropic researchers, and access to shared workspaces in Berkeley or London. Fellows work on empirical projects aligned with Anthropic's research priorities, aiming to produce public outputs like research papers. The program offers five workstreams: AI Safety, AI Security, ML Systems & Performance, Reinforcement Learning, and Economics & Policy. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis for cohorts starting July 2026 and beyond, with the next expected cohort beginning in late September. Compensation: Weekly stipend of $3,850 USD / GBP 2,310 / $4,300 CAD for 40 hours per week over 4 months, plus approximately $15,000/month in compute funding and research expenses. Ideal candidates demonstrate strong Python coding, ability to tackle ambiguous problems, and genuine interest in mitigating AI risks. No PhD or prior ML experience required.
