The World Bank Group's WBG Pioneers Internship Program is the Bank's premier internship offering structured learning and practical experience for undergraduate and postgraduate students. The Winter/Fall 2026 cycle runs October 2026 through March 2027; applications will be accepted online July through August 2026. Internships range between 4 weeks and 6 months. Eligibility: Undergraduate Track is open to final-year undergraduate students; Postgraduate Track is open to students currently enrolled in a master's or PhD program. In both tracks, candidates may have 0 to 6 years of work experience. Applicants may apply to up to three positions. Interns work across operations and support functions including Accounting, Communications, Human Resources, Information Technology, Finance, Country Operations, Climate, Health, Education, Macroeconomics, Trade, Gender, and Digital Development. The program is paid; stipend rates vary by location and education level. Most positions are based in Washington, DC headquarters with select roles in country offices around the world.
