Oak Ridge National Laboratory's Next Generation STEM Internship Program (NGSI) for Summer 2026 offers high school juniors, seniors, and recent graduates from accredited high schools the opportunity to participate in STEM and STEM-related research projects with researchers at ORNL. Program runs June 8 – July 24, 2026 (7–10 weeks) onsite in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Stipend: $500 per week based on full-time participation. Eligibility: U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident; rising high school junior/senior (graduating 2027–2028) or recent graduate (2024–2026); minimum 3.0 GPA; age 16+ by appointment start; reside in specific Tennessee counties (Anderson, Blount, Campbell, Knox, Loudon, Morgan, Roane, Sevier); health insurance required; one recommendation from a STEM teacher, principal, or curriculum coordinator (non-family).
