Stripe is hiring a PhD Data Scientist Intern in Toronto for summer 2026. Interns will apply machine learning and analytics to large datasets, partner with data scientists and business teams, develop insights through metrics and dashboards, and present work to teams. Requirements include current enrollment in a PhD program in a quantitative field (Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, etc.), with expected graduation winter 2026 or spring/summer 2027, proficiency in a scientific computing language (Python, R) and SQL, knowledge of machine learning, statistics, optimization, causal inference, or experimentation, and strong communication skills. Compensation is CA$148,200 annually. This role is not eligible for hire in the United States — Stripe is hiring only in Toronto, Ontario, Canada for summer 2026.
