JOB TITLE: Legal Department Summer Intern
DURATION: full-time (up to 40 hours per week), for a period of 10 weeks (June 8 - August 14)
SUMMARY: Seeking a Summer Legal Intern to support a broad range of legal matters typical of a regulated financial institution, including preliminary review of commercial contracts, consumer banking compliance, privacy and data security, corporate governance and support for various business initiatives. This role offers hands-on experience working with stakeholders across Compliance, Risk, Operations, Information Security, Project/Vendor Management, and Retail.

- Assist in the preliminary review of various commercial contracts related to the Bank’s vendors. To include reviewing, and redlining NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, license agreements, data processing addenda (DPAs), and vendor risk clauses inclusive of data security and Artificial Intelligence provisions and controls.
- Contribute to Legal Department process improvements (intake workflows, templates, trackers) Assist in organizing the Legal Department shared drive to include compiling, organizing and cataloging legal alerts and outside counsel legal research.
- Support internal subpoena/lien/levy responses, litigation holds or investigations under supervision.
- Track legal and regulatory developments, enforcement trends, and guidance; help draft internal alerts and practical checklists.
- Assist in developing a Legal Department procedures and homepage on the Bank’s Intranet.
Qualifications
- Actively enrolled Law School Student having completed 1L year
