Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Intern to join our team with a focus on Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives. This internship offers hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment, supporting projects that drive efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall operational performance.

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI methodologies• Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement• Support Kaizen events, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, and Production• Document current and future state processes using tools such as value stream mapping or process flow diagrams• Participate in time studies, line balancing, and workstation optimization• Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations

Position Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other CI tools is a plus• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities• Self-starter with a passion for process improvement and operational excellence

Preferred Qualifications:• Prior internship or hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production environment• Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) or manufacturing execution systems (MES)• Experience with data analysis tools such as Minitab, Power BI, or Python• Knowledge of safety and quality standards in manufacturing (e.g., ISO, OSHA)• Certification or coursework in Lean Six Sigma (e.g., Yellow Belt or higher)
