Information Technology Intern (Development and Operations) (Full Year 2026)

Overview

Western & Southern is seeking a dynamic, energetic intern who is eager to learn and grow by supporting our Enterprise DevOps Team on a variety of impactful projects throughout the year. As an intern, you will collaborate closely with our team assisting in automating and enhancing deployment pipelines, supporting and maintaining CI/CD workflows and tools, and contributing to the monitoring, optimization, and reliability of our development and production environments that are on-premises and in the cloud,

Responsibilities

Intern Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development, automation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with development teams to streamline integration and delivery processes
• Write and maintain scripts to automate operational tasks (e.g., deployments, builds)
• Participate in code reviews, infrastructure planning, and process improvement discussions
• Monitor system performance and help troubleshoot operational issues
• Help document DevOps processes, tools, and environments
• Learn and apply best practices in security, scalability, and reliability

Qualifications

Intern Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
• Basic understanding of software development and deployment practices
• Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Eagerness to learn new tools, technologies, and best practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
