AI Engineering Student Internship (Summer 2026)

Bloom is a Y Combinator X25 startup building AI-powered mobile app creation tools. We are hiring AI Engineering Student Interns for Summer 2026 based in Zurich, Switzerland. The role encompasses full-stack development across AI systems, backend infrastructure, and user-facing tools. Core responsibilities include building reliable AI coding agents that generate mobile applications, developing backend systems supporting thousands of weekly app builds, creating intuitive interfaces for app creation, and exploring novel deployment approaches. Bloom raised $3.4M from YC and angels and positions itself at the intersection of AI, code generation, design systems, and developer tooling. Ideal candidates demonstrate passion for building projects, high agency and curiosity, and fluency in TypeScript across the stack. Bonus experience includes React Native, Expo, Swift, Kotlin, Convex, AI SDK, or model fine-tuning. The internship offers mentorship from YC and ETH networks, potential full-time transition post-graduation, and access to Zurich's tech hub. Compensation: $6K-$14K monthly. Required: sophomore and above. Interview process involves a take-home challenge followed by team discussions.
