Data Scientist Internship (Summer 2026)

A 10-week summer internship at Two Sigma's Soho-based New York City office. Interns independently research and develop hypotheses based on diverse and unique real-world datasets, conduct literature reviews, and apply cutting-edge methodologies. Responsibilities include collaborating with engineers and business stakeholders on hypothesis testing and engaging with the academic community through reading circles and seminars. Candidates complete a single research project culminating in a final presentation. Requirements: pursuing a technical/quantitative degree with approximately one year remaining, proficiency in Python and SQL, completed in-depth research project with real data, strong analytical and communication skills. Finance background not required.
