Data Science Intern - aiR, Summer 2026

Relativity's aiR team is hiring a Data Science Intern for Summer 2026. aiR for Review and aiR for Privilege use large language models to accelerate document review in ediscovery. As an intern you will work with data scientists, ML engineers, and legal domain experts to improve prompt engineering pipelines, evaluate model accuracy on labeled review datasets, build retrieval systems over case documents, and contribute to model-risk documentation required for regulated law-firm customers. Qualifications: pursuing an MS or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field; proficiency in Python and one of PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX; experience with LLM evaluation, RAG, or NLP; SQL fluency. Prior work with legal text or regulated industries is a plus. This is a hybrid role based out of Relativity's Chicago headquarters with four days per week in office during the program.
