Vulnerability Research Intern - Summer 2026

Tenable Research is hiring a Vulnerability Research Intern for Summer 2026. You will join a team credited with discovering critical flaws in Microsoft, VMware, and cloud platforms. Responsibilities include reverse engineering software to identify vulnerabilities, writing proof-of-concept exploits, authoring new Nessus plugins in NASL, coordinating disclosure with affected vendors, and contributing to the Tenable Research blog. Qualifications: pursuing a BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field; fluency in C/C++ and Python; hands-on experience with IDA Pro, Ghidra, or Binary Ninja; familiarity with Windows internals and/or Linux kernel internals; prior CVE credits, CTF placements, or published security research strongly preferred.
