Software Engineering Co-op - Summer/Fall 2026

Rapid7's 6-month Software Engineering Co-op program runs July through December 2026 and is open to students at Northeastern, Drexel, Waterloo, and other co-op universities. Co-ops embed full-time on an engineering squad and own meaningful projects from kickoff to production deployment. Past co-ops have shipped features in our InsightConnect SOAR platform, built internal developer tooling, and contributed to open-source projects like Metasploit. Qualifications: enrolled in a co-op program at an accredited university with expected graduation between Dec 2026 and Jun 2028; coursework in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming; fluency in at least one of Python, Java, Scala, Go, or TypeScript; prior internship or co-op experience preferred. All co-ops are paid and include housing stipend for Boston-based placements.
