Threat Research Intern - Summer 2026

SentinelOne Labs is looking for a Threat Research Intern to join our SentinelLabs team for Summer 2026. You will work alongside reverse engineers and malware analysts investigating advanced persistent threats, ransomware families, and nation-state activity. Responsibilities include static and dynamic analysis of malicious Windows, macOS, and Linux binaries; writing YARA and Sigma detection rules; developing internal tooling in Python for automating triage; and contributing to public blog posts and technical reports that shape the security community. Qualifications: pursuing a BS/MS in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field graduating between Dec 2026 and Jun 2027; hands-on experience with IDA Pro, Ghidra, or x64dbg; understanding of Windows internals, PE file format, and common obfuscation techniques; proficiency in Python and a systems language. Prior CTF or bug bounty experience, published research, or a personal blog on malware topics is a strong plus.
