Sterling is hiring Software Engineer Interns for Summer 2026. Sterling provides background and identity services to more than 50,000 customers globally. Interns contribute to Sterling's candidate experience, screening workflow, and identity verification platforms in Java, TypeScript/React, and AWS. You'll write production code under the guidance of senior engineers, participate in code reviews, and present a final capstone. The 10-week paid program is hybrid with locations in NYC and Independence, OH. Qualifications: pursuing BS/MS in CS, Software Engineering, or related; OO programming proficiency; exposure to web or cloud development; interest in regulated data systems and trust/safety use cases.
