AI/ML Research Intern, Summer 2026

UKG's AI Innovation Lab is hiring an AI/ML Research Intern for Summer 2026. Work alongside applied scientists and research engineers building the models that power UKG Bryte AI — an agent that helps HR leaders and frontline managers make better people decisions. Projects may involve LLM fine-tuning on workforce domain data, retrieval-augmented generation over HR knowledge bases, or ML-powered scheduling optimization across millions of shifts. You'll own a research problem end-to-end: literature review, prototyping in PyTorch, evaluation on production workloads, and writing up results. Qualifications: PhD student (or advanced MS) in CS, ML, NLP, Operations Research, or related; publications at NeurIPS/ICML/ACL/EMNLP a plus; strong Python and PyTorch skills.
