2026 Baseball Analytics Summer Intern

The New York Mets are seeking a Baseball Analytics Summer Intern to support the Baseball Operations department at Citi Field during the 2026 season. The intern will assist analysts and R&D staff with quantitative research projects focused on player evaluation, pitching and hitting performance, biomechanics, and in-game strategy. Responsibilities include building and maintaining statistical models, writing SQL queries against the internal baseball database, creating visualizations for the major league coaching staff, and contributing research memos that inform roster and scouting decisions. Ideal candidates are currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in statistics, computer science, mathematics, or a related quantitative field, with demonstrated experience in R or Python, SQL, and a strong interest in baseball. The internship runs from early June through late August 2026 and is paid at $20 per hour. Housing is not provided.
