2026 Summer Engineering Intern - Raleigh

Hitachi Energy is hiring 2026 Summer Engineering Interns at its Raleigh, NC campus, which houses the company's North American HVDC, grid-automation, and digital-substation engineering hubs. The 12-week program may be hybrid or fully onsite. As an engineering intern you will support product development, validation, or systems integration projects on medium-voltage or high-voltage grid products, collaborating with senior engineers on customer deliverables. Qualifications: pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering; prior exposure to power systems or controls is a plus; MATLAB/Simulink, PSCAD, or Python experience helpful. Paid internship with potential to convert to full-time upon graduation.
