Internship - Mechanical Design Engineer Summer 2026

ASML is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineering Intern for Summer 2026 in San Diego, California. Interns participate in developing portions of the cutting-edge lithography system and work on sub-systems involving robotics, mechatronics, precision mechanics, and opto-mechanics. Day-to-day responsibilities include 3D CAD modeling in Siemens NX or SolidWorks, tolerance analysis, FEA simulations, and design reviews. Qualifications: currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Mechanical Engineering or similar; coursework in GD&T, dynamics, materials science; hands-on project experience (FSAE, robotics, design teams) strongly preferred. ASML compensates interns hourly based on degree level and offers relocation stipends. ASML sponsors employment-based visas for full-time hires.
