Internship - Optical Engineering Summer 2026

ASML, the Dutch leader in EUV lithography for semiconductor manufacturing, is hiring an Optical Engineering Intern for Summer 2026 in Wilton, Connecticut. The intern will assist in the design, testing, development, and troubleshooting of next-generation optical and opto-mechanical metrology sub-systems used for the creation and control of EUV radiation. Responsibilities include Zemax modeling, bench experiments, data analysis in MATLAB or Python, and presenting results to senior scientists. Minimum qualifications: currently pursuing a Master's or PhD in Optical Engineering, Physics, Applied Physics, or Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on optics; coursework in geometric and physical optics; lab experience preferred. ASML sponsors visas for qualifying full-time roles and hires many interns into return offers. Paid 12-week internship with relocation stipend.
