FHWA's Office of Infrastructure is hiring Summer 2026 Pathways engineering interns to support bridge, pavement, and safety programs. Interns will help analyze National Bridge Inventory data, assist with pavement condition analyses using HPMS data, review state DOT submittals under the federal-aid program, and support FHWA Every Day Counts technology deployment. Paid at GS-4/5. Duty stations include Washington DC, Turner-Fairbank Highway Research Center in McLean VA, and division offices nationwide. U.S. citizenship required. Preferred: civil, transportation, or structural engineering majors.
