Bureau of Indian Affairs Summer 2026 Tribal Programs Intern

The Bureau of Indian Affairs is hiring Summer 2026 Pathways interns in Washington, DC and regional offices to support tribal government programs, including self-determination contracts, trust land acquisitions, and tribal court funding. Interns will review 638 contract proposals, build tracking dashboards for land-into-trust applications, compile data on tribal priority allocations, and help coordinate tribal consultation meetings. Paid at GS-4/5. U.S. citizenship required. Indian preference applies. Coursework in public administration, American Indian studies, tribal law, or policy preferred.
