Machine Learning Research Intern - Summer 2026

Cohere is hiring a Summer 2026 ML Research Intern in Toronto or San Francisco to contribute to enterprise LLM research. Areas include retrieval-augmented generation, multilingual modeling, agentic reasoning, efficient fine-tuning, and evaluation. You will work with the Cohere For AI research community and Cohere's model team, running experiments on large GPU clusters and contributing to production-scale releases. Qualifications: PhD candidate (or MS with strong research) in ML/NLP/CS with published research; expert PyTorch or JAX; NLP/LLM research experience; ability to turn research into working implementations.
