Autonomy Software Engineering Intern - Summer 2026

Waymo is hiring Autonomy Software Engineering Interns for Summer 2026 in Mountain View, CA to contribute to the Waymo Driver powering the world's most experienced autonomous ride-hail service. Interns are placed across Perception, Prediction, Planning, Simulation, Mapping, or Infrastructure teams based on interests and fit. You will work on real production systems serving millions of autonomous rides, with mentorship from experienced engineers and research scientists. Qualifications: pursuing a BS/MS/PhD in CS, Robotics, ECE, or related field; proficient in C++ and/or Python; coursework or research in ML, robotics, systems, or software engineering; ability to ship quality code.
