Apptronik is hiring a Summer 2026 Mechanical Design Intern in Austin, TX to support development of Apollo, our commercial humanoid robot. You will design and analyze robot subsystems including actuators, structural components, and end-effectors. Expect to do CAD in SolidWorks or Creo, FEA, prototype assembly, and hands-on bring-up. Projects could include lightweight structural redesign, end-of-arm tooling, thermal management, or actuator mount iteration. Qualifications: pursuing a BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or Robotics; strong CAD fluency; experience with prototyping (machining, 3D printing, assembly); coursework in machine design or robotics; ability to work onsite in Austin.
