Physical Intelligence (Pi) is building foundation models that bring general-purpose intelligence to the physical world. We are hiring a Summer 2026 Robot Learning Research Intern in San Francisco to contribute to training and evaluating our pi-series models. Projects may include large-scale imitation learning on diverse robot data, scaling laws for vision-language-action models, real-robot evaluation infrastructure, or novel architectures for multimodal robot control. Qualifications: PhD candidate in ML, Robotics, or CS with strong publications in robot learning, foundation models, or representation learning; expert PyTorch; experience training large models on GPU clusters; prior hands-on robot experience strongly preferred.
