Embedded Software Intern - Humanoid Robotics - Summer 2026

1X Technologies is hiring a Summer 2026 Embedded Software Intern at our Palo Alto office to work on NEO, our consumer humanoid robot. You will contribute firmware and low-level software for motor control boards, sensor interfaces, and safety-critical subsystems. Projects may include real-time CAN bus drivers, sensor fusion, actuator control loops, bootloader improvements, or hardware-in-the-loop test infrastructure. Qualifications: pursuing a BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or CS; strong C/C++ for embedded systems; experience with RTOS, ARM Cortex microcontrollers, or motor control; robotics or hardware prototyping background preferred.
