Union Pacific Operations Management Training Intern - Summer 2026

Union Pacific is hiring Operations Management Training (OMT) Interns for Summer 2026 - a pipeline program to our full-time OMT Leadership track. Interns are placed at a UP terminal, yard, or service unit and spend 10-12 weeks learning rail operations alongside Managers of Yard Operations, Trainmasters, and Terminal Superintendents. You will shadow crews, analyze yard performance metrics, lead a quantified improvement project, and present to the Director of Operations. Expect shift work (including nights and weekends) and field-heavy days. Qualifications: pursuing a Bachelor's in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related; graduation December 2026 - May 2028; 3.0+ GPA; willingness to relocate anywhere on UP's 23-state network. Paid with housing stipend.
