BNSF Railway Summer Engineering Intern 2026

BNSF Railway is hiring Summer Engineering Interns for 2026 across Mechanical, Industrial, Civil, and Electrical Engineering tracks. Based at our Fort Worth, TX HQ or at field locations across BNSF's 32,500-mile network, interns work on real infrastructure and equipment projects - including locomotive reliability, track geometry analytics, bridge inspection data, yard and terminal design, or signal and communications engineering. 10-12 week paid program with field rotations, senior engineer mentorship, a safety immersion, and a capstone. Qualifications: currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering; graduation December 2026 - May 2028; 3.0+ GPA; willingness to relocate and travel; strong communication. Housing stipend for relocating interns.
