Lumen Technology Summer Intern - Software Engineering 2026

Lumen Technologies (formerly CenturyLink) is hiring Software Engineering Interns for Summer 2026 to help build the platform that powers the 4th Industrial Revolution - a global fiber network and edge cloud serving Fortune 500 enterprises. As a Software Engineering Intern, you will contribute to customer-facing portals, API gateways, network automation platforms, or our SASE/security products. You'll work in Java, Python, Go, or TypeScript on cloud-native stacks (AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka). The 10-week paid program includes structured mentoring, intern-only networking events, and a capstone presentation. Qualifications: currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in CS, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related; graduation December 2026 - May 2028; coursework in data structures and at least one modern programming language. Remote-friendly within the United States; Denver, Monroe LA, and Broomfield CO preferred hubs.
