The Mickey Leland Energy Fellowship (MLEF) at the National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) is a 10-week paid summer research program for underrepresented undergraduate and graduate students in STEM. Fellows conduct research in fossil energy technologies, carbon capture and storage, hydrogen, critical minerals, and advanced materials at NETL sites in Pittsburgh PA, Morgantown WV, and Albany OR. Fellows receive weekly stipends, travel reimbursement, and mentorship from NETL researchers. Candidates must be US citizens pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in engineering, computer science, chemistry, physics, or related STEM field with 3.2 GPA minimum.
