MITRE AI/ML Research Intern - Summer 2026

MITRE is hiring an AI/ML Research Intern for Summer 2026 in McLean, VA. Interns will work on applied research in large language models, trustworthy AI, and adversarial machine learning for national security applications. Pursuing a master's or PhD in ML, CS, or related field with publications or strong research experience. Comfortable with PyTorch, Hugging Face, and distributed training. US citizenship required. Paid research internship with opportunity to publish and present at external venues.
