Yale Law School funds all interested students pursuing unpaid summer internships with nonprofits, government, or in public interest law through its Summer Public Interest Fellowships. 1L and 2L students receive up to $6,500 for 10 weeks of summer work. Placements include civil rights firms, international human rights organizations, the ACLU, public defenders, and federal government agencies. Students can self-design placements subject to program approval.
