The SMALL Undergraduate Research Program at Williams College is one of the largest and oldest math REUs in the country. For 9 weeks each summer, 30-40 undergraduate students collaborate on open research problems in number theory, knot theory, algebraic geometry, combinatorics, and mathematical biology with Williams College faculty. Participants receive a $4,550 stipend, free housing, and travel reimbursement. Many projects result in peer-reviewed publications.
