CMU Machine Learning Department Summer Research 2026

The Machine Learning Department at Carnegie Mellon offers summer research opportunities for undergraduates and MS students interested in advanced ML research. Interns work with MLD faculty and PhD students on projects in deep learning theory, probabilistic modeling, causal inference, and ML for science. The program spans 10-12 weeks with a stipend of approximately $6,500 and integration into weekly lab meetings and research seminars.
