USA Engineering Internships, Summer 2026

Shopify is actively hiring exceptional interns to become the future of Shopify for Summer 2026. Positions are fully-remote across the US. Software Engineering Interns turn product roadmaps into available, scalable, performant, secure, innovative, composable, and cost-effective software for global commerce. Interns also join specialized tracks such as Security Engineering (detecting and addressing security threats to Shopify and its merchants), Applied Machine Learning (extensive data for ML models), Data Engineering (massive data pipelines that power commerce), and Infrastructure Engineering (large distributed systems at scale, developer automation, and internal tools). Qualifications: Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program; strong programming experience (Ruby, Go, Python, TypeScript, or similar); proven ability to ship projects. Compensation approximately $45.05/hour plus $2,500/month housing.
