ESPN Research Intern, Summer 2026

ESPN Research is hiring a Summer 2026 Research Intern based at ESPN headquarters in Bristol, CT. The 10-week internship runs June 8, 2026 to August 14, 2026. As an intern, you will participate in the collection, analysis, and communication of audience data for ESPN's linear, digital, streaming, and social media properties, with a focus on digital and social sports. Responsibilities include supporting ad hoc research requests from editorial, programming, marketing, and sales stakeholders; analyzing ratings and digital consumption data; assembling data-driven narratives about sports audiences; and producing clear visualizations and written summaries. Qualifications include current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program in statistics, economics, marketing, data analytics, communications, or related field; strong skills in Excel and familiarity with SQL, R, or Python; and demonstrated interest in sports media. The pay rate is $22.50/hour. Must be enrolled in an accredited program for the duration of the internship.
