2026 Summer Associate Program

Sullivan & Cromwell's Summer Associate Program is the firm's principal route for hiring new associates. The 2026 Summer Program in New York, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles and Palo Alto offers 2Ls (and a limited number of 1Ls) the opportunity to work on sophisticated transactional and litigation matters alongside partners and associates. Summer associates attend closings, court hearings, client meetings and negotiations; receive weekly feedback; and participate in a robust training curriculum. Compensation is at market rates (approximately $4,615/week). Recruiting follows NALP timelines; 2L applications opened via direct application and OCI bidding in summer 2025 with interviews completed by fall 2025. Applications for Summer 2026 are now closed.
