The Peterson Institute for International Economics is hiring Summer 2026 research interns to support senior fellows on projects including trade policy, international finance, global macroeconomics, and sanctions. Interns conduct literature reviews, gather and clean international economic datasets using Stata or Python, build charts for PIIE publications, and fact-check working papers. Paid at approximately $18/hour; hybrid in Washington, DC with at least three onsite days. Open to undergraduates and graduate students with quantitative coursework in economics or a related field.
